One of the easiest ways to try papercutting (assuming you have a blade and some paper) is to purchase digital templates that you print off and then cut out. We've scoured Etsy for our favourite shops to buy paper cutting templates from to save you the hard work!

These papercut templates are really unusual and just stunning - made from graded layers of coloured cutouts which are built up to create very lifelike artworks. Not one for beginners, maybe!

The templates in this shop are more complex than some, but the results are beautiful. I chose this shop mainly for its wide range of flower templates, which would look stunning with colour infills.
PaperInkAndKnife
Another shop with more complex papercuts, these are more vintage style and feature designs such as poster-style designs and portraits.
SASCreative
A great treasure trove of templates, from fairly simple to beautifully intricate. Many of the templates feature quotes, or simple words or phrases appropriate for special occasions. You can even get personalised templates, such as family trees, birth or 1st wedding anniversary designs.
TommyandTillyDesign
Another massive shop with hundreds of templates to choose from. My favourites are the lovely floral animals and quotes, but there is so much more including individual letters and floral frames.
