Sashiko
Sashiko is a Japanese form of embroidery, traditionally used to decorate or mend clothes with white thread on indigo fabric. Our kit will teach you how to draw out and then stitch a simple sashiko pattern, and make it into a beautiful Japanese style pouch.

FAQs
A gift subscription works in the same way as a normal subscription, except that you have the option to add a gift message and to send the boxes directly to the gift recipient. Their first box will also include a summary of their gift subscription.
To purchase a gift subscription, choose your preferred subscription length and click the 'Buying as a gift?' button. You'll be given the option to:
- choose your start date (which can be today if you want your subscription to start immediately)
- choose to automatically end the subscription after a fixed number of boxes if you wish
- leave a gift message (please include your name!)
- enter your name as the sender
When you go through to the checkout page, enter the gift recipient's name and address in the shipping information and their boxes will go straight to them.
If you have chosen a date in the future to start the subscription, please note that dispatch may be up to 3 working days after this date and UK postage is typically 2-3 days.
After the first box has been sent, the remaining boxes will go in the post near the beginning of each month.
You can buy 3, 6 or 12 month prepay gift subscriptions, or choose to pay monthly until you cancel.
When you purchase a gift subscription, please give the gift recipient’s name and address in the ‘shipping address’ section. That way we can deliver the craft boxes straight to them.
If, alternatively, you wish to receive the first box yourself to give in person, please enter your own name and address. Once you have received that box, you can log in to your account (which is created when you purchase the subscription) and change the address to the recipient’s so that the remaining boxes will go straight to them.
Yes, please do! You can leave your gift message when you are making your purchase by clicking on the 'buying as a gift?' button.
I will write out your gift message by hand and include it with their first kit. I recommend that you include your name on the message so they know who the sender is, as this is not mentioned elsewhere in the box.
We will not be contacting the gift recipient, so they will not know about your gift until they receive the first box.
You will be given a link to download a printable gift certificate when you purchase the subscription, which you can give to the sender before their first box arrives if you wish.
Single craft boxes can be purchased from the Shop section of our website.
As with a gift subscription, you can click on the 'Buying as a gift?' button to enter a gift message and mark your order as a gift.
Yes, definitely! They just need to fill in the Swaps form to choose an alternative craft to receive as their next box.
Please note that swaps are not available for the mini subscription.
