6 craft kits to give on Mother's Day

Mother’s Day is rapidly approaching, and craft loving mums would love to receive a beautiful craft kit (and maybe a promise of a little peace and quiet to do it!) I stock a wide range of craft kits to try all kinds of different crafts here at Cosy Craft Club, but I’ve picked 6 craft kits that would make a great Mother’s Day gift. Which of these would make a great gift for your mum?

Blackwork embroidery, £24

If Mum loves embroidery or cross stitch, then this will be right up her street! Blackwork embroidery is worked on cross stitch fabric (aida) but uses straight line stitches to create beautiful geometric patterns. This kit comes with the instructions to make 3 sizes of this succulent mandala design, and includes gold thread to add a touch of luxury to your finished piece.

Candle making kit, £28

This ‘Calm & Cosy’ candle making kit from Hazel & Blue makes 2 soy candles, beautifully scented with essential oils. It’s a quick and easy make, and any mum who loves candles will enjoy making their own and lighting them afterwards!

Enamelled jewellery kit, £24

This is one for a craft-loving mum who has tried lots of different crafts already - she probably hasn’t tried this one! This kit makes a fun bunting-style necklace and a disc bracelet, and you can choose your own design to place on the metal pieces from the 5 colours included in your kit. Once you’ve created your design with the enamelling powder, it just goes in the oven for a few minutes and then it has baked on hard! Turn your enamelled pieces into jewellery using the components and tools included, and wear with pride!

Fused glass blue tit kit, £35

Mum can create her own gorgeous fused glass blue tit with this kit. Decorate the blue tit-shaped glass piece with smaller pieces of glass included in the kit. You get a pair of tweezers to accurately place your pieces, and glue and hairspray stick them down in position! Then, you send your blue tit back to the maker (Twice Fired) to be fired (stamps are included in the box) and it will be returned to you ready to hang!

Resin flowers kit, £28

This is one of the most creative kits that I stock. This kit includes resin in 4 colours, and a reel of wire, which can be bent to form a range of petal shapes. The magic happens when you dip your wire shape into the pot of resin, and the resin fills in the loop to create a petal. These petals can then be assembled into a flower. The Inion Arts website has a wide range of videos to make all kinds of flowers, everything from poppies to roses, and daffodils to lillies. And there are plenty of supplies included in the kit so you could make many bouquets of beautiful flowers!

Weaving kit, £28

Weaving is one of those craft trends that just doesn’t go away. This kit includes a beautiful lap weaving loom and the supplies and instructions to make a lovely wall hanging. But of course, you can use the loom again and again and weave away to your heart’s content!
